Develop your CV with a gap year, graduates told

Life after graduation
A gap year could offer graduates a life-changing experience while also adding to their CV, according to one firm.
gapyear.com said that a trip abroad is one of the only positive things to do in the negative atmosphere caused by the lack of graduate job opportunities and university leavers can have the chance to think about what they want from life.
Tom Griffiths, founder of the website, said: "You can not only develop your CV and the vital thing is that you have the opportunity as an individual to say
'I'm going to do something positive and life changing'. It is that positive energy people are getting from gap years."
Mr Griffiths also advised graduates not to be afraid to do something "out of the ordinary".
Shelter Offshore recently told those having trouble landing a graduate job this summer that they could consider the extra skills gained from working abroad.
