Those looking for graduate creative jobs could be interested to hear people who want a career in such industries are being urged to show their talent to the wider world.

Creative publishing network zoo qoo claims that creative graduates looking for careers need to find an alternative to the conventional ways of being discovered and receiving feedback on their work.

Rich Wilson, managing director of the creative showcase, said the gap between talented individuals who are starting out in their graduate creative careers and the industry needs to be bridged.

"You need to show your talent to the wider world," he added.

A report by university think-tank Million plus - entitled Futures: building the creative economy through universities - called for a new Arts, Humanities and Creative Research Council to be set up as one of a series of measures to capitalise on ever-changing creative industries.

It claimed the council would boost knowledge transfer as part of a wider strategy to promote links between the sector and educational institutes.
