The cosmetics industry offers a wide range of graduate jobs, it has been claimed.
People with a science background will find their skills in demand in research and development departments, while marketing graduates will find a home in the sales department, reports the Independent.
Speaking to the newspaper, Lucy Moulton, a regulatory technologist, for Badgequo, said; "I was doing A-levels in chemistry and biology when my tutor found the cosmetic-science course at the London College of Fashion.
"The link between the fashion and beauty industries is huge, so it was the perfect place to study."
Working in the beauty industry involves both creative and science elements, she added.
Ms Moulton's job involves ensuring that her firm's products meet EU requirements before they go on sale.
Recently, the Banffshire journal reported ten physics graduate from the UK jetted out to an international conference aimed at promoting science as a career choice for women.
