Boris Johnson adds graduate jobs to London website

Published: Monday, 10 August 2009   Category: Life after graduation

A website launched by the mayor of London Boris Johnson last month to help those looking for graduate jobs in the current climate has added a slew of new positions to its boards.

Some 250 new graduate job opportunities have been included on the site and interest from both university leavers and employers has increased over the period since the beginning of the service.

Administered by the Careers Group at the University of London, the Royal Society of Arts, Orbis Technology and the Economic Intelligence Unit are currently offering graduate positions on the site.

Mr Johnson said: "I am confident that we will be continually adding new opportunities as more employers hear about this unique website and learn what an excellent gateway it is to London's graduate market place."

The Department of Work and Pension officially launched its Graduate Talent Pool website recently, which will see 6,000 internships and work placements posted on it over the next few weeks.
