Students thinking about graduate jobs at a Liverpool university have been given a presentation by an alumnus who now works at a luxury car company, talking about the graduate vacancies available.

Darren Leo, after gaining a degree from Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), joined Bentley's graduate scheme.

Earlier this week, he re-entered his alma mater to deliver the talk to students in the Liverpool Business School department of LJMU.

Mr Leo took a course accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) as part of his degree programme and was awarded Most Outstanding Graduate.

As part of his presentation, the alumnus also praised the usefulness of securing a placement in the industry.

"Both studying at LJMU and undertaking a placement year provided me with an excellent foundation for employment once I left university, with the skills and theories learned proving invaluable to my day-to-day activities in the workplace," he said.

Many manufacturing graduate schemes include of a CIPS-accredited course.
