The majority of graduates still believe the banking industry offers an excellent career path, according to new research.
Milkround.com invited representatives from Citi, Moore and Stephens and the Financial Services Authority to participate in a live debate with an audience looking on.
After the employees fielded questions during the hour-long session, a poll of those watching revealed that 82 per cent still have faith in graduate jobs in banking.
"It was great to give our candidates the chance to talk direct to banking professionals and have their questions answered live online," said Milkround.com spokesman Mike Barnard.
"We look forward to hosting further debates which get to the heart of student and graduate concerns as they enter the jobs market."
Mr Barnard added that the debate has now been put online to allow other graduates the chance to read the advice handed out by the members of the various companies.
Last week, Will Shepherd, managing director of PPS, advised firms to thank candidates who do not make the cut for their interest in order to avoid seriously damaging their morale.
