Recent university leavers looking for graduate jobs in business management may be interested to hear that Aviva, the insurance firm, has invited 35 business undergraduates from seven universities to attend a two-day assessment centre.
Following the centre, the top ten "gold finalists" will join a six-week summer internship with Aviva and leading financial adviser firms, FT Adviser reports.
In a boost to graduates who thought that leading employers had restricted the amount of degree-level employment opportunities they offer, the firm initially asked over 70 entrants to present their case via a writing exercise before whittling the list down.
Angela Seymour-Jackson, intermediary and partnerships director for Aviva, told the website: "The programme makes it easier for quality firms to attract high-calibre graduates through raising the profile of the sector and encouraging graduates to pursue a career in financial advice.
"The future adviser programme aims to prepare graduates to get off to a dynamic and successful start with a quality advisory firm."
