Aldi focuses on incentives to attract graduates

Published: Sunday, 10 January 2016   Category: All Graduate Jobs News

Budget supermarket Aldi has announced an exciting incentive to graduates looking to begin their career.

They will be offering new employees an impressive £42,000 salary, an Audi A4 company car and private healthcare – incentives usually associated with high earners and big name brands.

The German company has created the scheme to ensure they poach the best available talent when it comes to hunting for skilled graduates. This way they can take on their rivals, grow their brand even further and become more successful in their field.

Those selected to work for the company could be expected to work in the region of 50 hours a week, which will be inclusive of weekends. However, with incentives as good as they are advertising, this is something that many will be happy to do – especially those wanting to pay off their student loans as soon as possible.

The retailer hopes to grow its brand to reveal a massive 1000 UK stores by 2022. In order to meet this target, Aldi has estimated they need another 150 area managers obeying to the scheme's key conditions, which include having a minimum of a 2:1 degree and a driving licence.

A wealth of opportunities

Aldi suggests the graduate programme will ensure you become a key player within the company in no time. Current managers have revealed that graduates will be running the show in as little as 14 weeks, with masses of responsibility.

According to the firm, it means managing people who've been there for years, taking control of processes, organising award-winning stock and showcasing management capabilities.

If you wish to become your own boss, boast an incredible starting salary and enjoy a number of job perks, this could be just the gradate role you’ve been looking for.

An Aldi spokesman added: “We offer a market-leading salary. Yes, we ask a lot of our employees and we ask for commitment but there are great progression opportunities.”
