AGR appoints new chair

Published: Wednesday, 21 November 2007   Category: Graduate Job sector Reports

Terence Perrin has been appointed the new chair of the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR).

Mr Perrin, who was previously finance director and vice-chair of the AGR, has a wealth of experience in graduate recruitment having been graduate recruitment manager at Waitrose and Rolls Royce.

"I am very proud and excited to have been elected as chair and aim to use my experience of campus recruitment across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America in the private, public and charity sectors to help shape the AGR's future agenda," said Mr Perrin.

The AGR supplies a national voice for all companies that are involved in graduate recruitment.

Meanwhile, a report has revealed that 50 per cent of human resource managers in the UK have had to discipline staff for wasting time on the internet and two thirds have blocked all access to social network site Facebook.

43 per cent also said they have had to discipline their staff for accessing pornographic websites while at work.
