AG praised for diverse legal recruitment
Wednesday, 26 November 2008
A leading law firm has received awards from two different organisations for its diverse legal recruitment scheme.
UK-based Addleshaw Goddard has been recognised by both the Women of the Future and Race for Opportunity, making it the only firm to receive awards from both this year.
Human resources director Judith Hardy commented that the firm had made a "very real commitment" to its diversity programmes, which aimed to encourage female and ethnic minority hiring.
"The world of work is changing, and our clients now rightly expect to see a diverse workforce combined with a forward looking and innovative partnership," she added.
Law degree-holders seeking graduate jobs in the legal sector may also be interested to learn that Addleshaw Goddard, which employs more than 1,450 staff around the world, has also been praised for its approach to flexible working.
Earlier in November, MI6 launched a new graduate jobs programme for candidates of black and Asian origin.
