PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and other big accountancy firms were, once again, among the top companies for graduate employment, new research indicates.
According to the latest figures from the Times Top 100 employers, PWC took the top spot for the fourth consecutive year, with three other accountancy giants making up the top five - Deloitte placed third and KPMG finished fourth.
Commenting on the prominence of accountancy in the list, editor of the list, Martin Birchall told The Times: "Vacancies in the sector have shot up by more than 80 per cent since 2004 and three of the big four professional services firms are looking to hire at least 1,000 graduates in the 2007-08 recruitment round"
He added: "It's no surprise then that these firms dominate the new league table of Britains top graduate employers published today."
There are 11 new entries into this year's list - the highest of which is BDO Stoy Haywrd in 74th place.
