15 IT graduate jobs to be created in Northern Ireland

Published: Friday, 28 January 2011   Category: Science, Engineering and IT

Two technology firms in Northern Ireland will be creating 15 IT graduate jobs over the next few months.

The Belfast Telegraph reports that SAP and Intel Venture will be creating 15 jobs in the region following a £1.7 million investment into technology research.

Arlene Foster, enterprise minister for Northern Ireland, told the news provider that it is significant that the two ventures chose this area in which to make their investment.

"It reflects their confidence in the IT skills available here and in particular, the high value they place on the opportunity to work closely with our universities," quoted the news provider.

Therefore, there could be an opportunity for IT graduate jobs in the country, particularly in Belfast.

IT graduate jobs could also be found with search engine giant Google, as the outgoing chief executive Eric Schmidt, stated that the firm will be expanding into Europe and creating 1,000 jobs.
