We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated graduate to play a major role in a strategic two year collaborative project between Posturite Ltd, based in Berwick, Sussex and the University of Brighton. The project is to develop sector relevant advanced web-based customer interfaces and associated business processes to increase sales through this avenue.
Posturite’s business falls into two main areas: specifying and supplying curative ergonomic office furniture and accessories, predominately on a business-to-business basis (in this sector Posturite are currently the market leaders); and the provision of first aid supplies, which is an embryonic part of the business.
This opportunity, as part of the government’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme, will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to gain experience of working on a web-interface development project in a non-IT specialist environment within a rapidly growing SME and to develop specialist skills in software development processes, particularly relating to web-based systems for third party users. If relevant, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to register for a funded higher degree such as an MSc.
Key attributes: BSc at 2.1 or above, or an MSc in a subject to include web interface design and (preferably) customer behaviour analysis. Evidence of being able to specify technical projects based on ‘customer’ requirements. A higher degree in an associated area would also be an advantage, as would a relevant industrial placement or other industrial experience.
The package: Early responsibility for a high profile project, a generous dedicated personal development budget and the opportunity to register for a funded higher degree where appropriate.
