Web Designer / UI / UX Design

Salary circa £25,000 + Benefits

Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Our client is looking for a Web Designer with ideally two years commercial experience to join their Web Team.

In this role you will be required to work on a range of projects including online marketing material, UI/UX design, sales pages, HTML emails and wireframing. You will need to be a positive and enthusiastic person to join this friendly and forward thinking team, working in a fast paced environment where plenty of ideas and good communication skills are essential. You should also be well versed in all the usual software packages, and have a very keen eye for detail.

Ensuring that all creative output produced follows the brand guidelines and maintains the company image, you will produce concepts and design work for a range of sales pages or UI/UX layouts and build web pages using industry standard technologies (CSS3 and HTML5) to W3C/WAI standards ensuring that you optimise the user journeys on the website to increase customer satisfaction. Providing feedback and offering solutions to project briefs you will design and produce graphics, HTML templates and other assets whether the client is internal or external whilst demonstrating your resourceful imagination.

The right person for this role will have a design related qualification and be a pro with the usual software packages such as Photoshop, Fireworks and their code editor of choice. You will have a solid understanding of UI/UX best practices and optimise web pages for speed and performance along with showing a good understanding of WAI compliance. Strong awareness of Adobe CS5 suite (Photoshop/Fireworks etc), hand coding CSS/XHTML/HTML5 and capability to debug code is essential.

In addition you must have recent example URLs or a portfolio online to view.
