Role Description
Biomatrix Water based in Forres, Moray, are recruiting for a recent graduate for a water systems project development role. The 12 month role is intended to achieve increased sales through a targeted and technical value proposition based approach, strategically responding to mandates issued by water regulatory agencies. We would like to have a more focused and expanded customer catchment funnel of potential customers, in order to use our resources most effectively.
The graduate will be involved in investigating the drivers behind water projects, and by implementing a value-based opportunity development approach directly addressing the key market motivators and by pursuing customers in these areas.
As part of the TalentScotland Graduate Placement Programme in the Highlands and Islands, the candidate will benefit from support from a team within Highlands and Islands Enterprise and also access training focussed on employability and business skills, including a five day residential course.
This position is part funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the European Regional Development Fund.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
Expertise in any of the following: Water Treatment, Limnology, Biochemistry, Wetlands Ecology, Marine Biology, Biology, Water Engineering, and similar water related technical backgrounds.
Clear written and verbal communicator, capable of speaking confidently with professional water customers and regulatory agencies at an introductory level.
Understand biological systems quickly and be able to convey the functionality and benefit of these systems to others clearly and effectively in; written, presentation, and verbal format.
Some field experience related to water.
Experience in technical sales / customer contact.
Outgoing, able to work independently, pro-active, go getter, problem solver.
Excellent communications skills, written verbal, presentation.
Ecology Inspired.
Sustainability driven.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Water Quality Monitoring
Experience in Environmental Impact Assessments
Process Calculations skills
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification
Experience in using CAD software

Biomatrix Water based in Forres, Moray, are recruiting for a recent graduate for a project development role. The 12 month role will involve developing a market sector analysis and marketing plan and implementing the marketing plan, working with customers, managing projects and carrying out technical sales. The graduate will also develop and implement the Biomatrix technology approach and technical “Value Proposition” and will also be involved in project management and delivery of new projects.
