EXPIRY NOTICE: This job has now expired and will not be accepting any more applications.

My client is in search of Trainee Recruitment Consultants for their Team in Central London!

What do you need to make it into a top Recruitment firm?

Recruitment is not easy, however it is very rewarding. Although highly Consultative, it is still a Sales role. You need to be extremely self-motivated, prepared to work very hard and keen to earn a lot of money. You must be able to handle rejection/objection, have the ability to work under pressure and be able to work to strict deadlines within a targeted environment.

What’s in it for you?

  • £18-22k basic
  • Commission – Year 1 OTE, £40k+, Year 2 OTE, £70k+
  • Full training throughout your career- workshops/listening to calls/shadowing/outsourced training academies
  • Targets for company cars, mobiles, holidays etc.
  • Most importantly – the security of working for an industry leader.

There will be intense, hands-on training which will help you develop as well as accessible targets to meet in order to kick-start your career progression within a company.

How do we know what our clients want?

Not only do we know who are the best firms in the industry to work for, we also have extremely strong working relationships with all of them. All our clients are repeat customers with whom we have placed before. We’re not just talking one or two either, we’re talking about the majority of their new Graduate Recruits being hired via Drummond Recruitment. We visit our clients on a regular basis, so we know what they look-like, sound-like and how they are evolving. This is an essential part of the process because a cultural fit is equally as important as the earning potential. After all, you’re going to be spending a lot of time with these people, so they may as well be "your kind of people".

How do we know that you’re right for our clients?

Once you have made yourselves known to us, either by submitting your CV, dropping us an e-mail or giving us a call, we’ll have an initial chat over the phone and if you sound like the kind of person we’re looking for, we’ll invite you in to our London based offices for a full assessment on what type of companies are going to be right for you. Again this is an essential part of the process. We have over 25 clients looking for staff at any one time and owing to our strong relationships, each of them would interview you on our recommendation alone. We don’t want you to go on 25 interviews as not all of them will be right for you, thus it is imperative we meet with you for a full assessment and whittle down the list.

What do we look for in an individual?

The first thing we look at is your academics.

We ideally want the highest qualifications from the best schools, colleges and universities, however we really want people who are Graduate ‘calibre’, ie., if you have a REALLY good reason why you finished or are looking to finish university before completion and still think you make the grade, we still want to hear from you.

Next, we look at work experience.

Ideally, you will have done some form of telephone-based Sales role, either in a gap year, during your holidays, or part-time. The kind of roles we like the most are to name a few, Tele-Sales, Tele-marketing, Cold-calling, Research or Fund-raising. We don’t put Retail Sales on the same level as other Sales roles, however still wish to hear from you if you think you’re special. Lastly, we look at ‘the rest of you’.

Is there something about you (other than the above) that makes you stand out.

Do you excel in a competitive sport?

Do you organise amazing social venues?

Do you play in a band?

Can you tell us about an exceptional achievement where you have had the odds stacked against you?

If there is something that you think makes you stand out, tell us about it. You’d be surprised what has helped us place people in the past.

Please note that as we are based in London, the majority of our clients are based in London and the South East, however we do have some clients nation-wide.

Location: London (inner and outer), UK locations
