Trainee Recruitment Consultant - Public Sector
Basic £18,000 OTE £35k, 20 days holiday per annum, increasing by 1 day for each year of employment. Basic pay review based on personal performance over the year.
For this Trainee Recruitment Consultant role, our client is looking for a recent Graduate. Successful applicants do not necessarily have to have sales experience but need to have a natural sales ability, therefore some commercial experience would be advantageous . Our client is looking for team players with excellent communication skills, a sense of humour and an outgoing personality.

With a highly successful track record and well planned growth strategy they are currently recruiting for a number of Trainee Recruitment Consultants in their central London office
Our client offers a thorough Graduate training programme consisting of one-to-one training, structured group training sessions, monthly appraisals and ‘on the desk support.’ With a team-based ethos & rewards, their consultants work closely together to place candidates into roles and maximise their earning potential.
The role of ‘Recruitment Consultant’ at our client has an all round meaning. As an established and successful agency our client has built our success on a team based ethos, supporting and helping each other to achieve the company’s aim.
On a day to day basis you will work as part of a team involved in all aspects of recruitment. Working in a target driven sales capacity you will liaise between candidates looking for work and clients seeking to employ staff. You will receive one-to-one and group training to perform all of the following recruitment tasks to a high standard:
- Cold calling and canvassing new clients for job opportunities
- Liaising with existing clients to develop more business
- Selling our client to potential recruiters
- Consulting with clients over job descriptions and specifications
- Writing copy and advertising vacancies to attract candidates
- Registering candidates looking for temporary, contract and permanent work
- Searching for and screening candidates for suitable opportunities
- Arranging interviews for candidates with clients
- Negotiating terms with clients and candidates
- Providing continual support to clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Offering advice and consultation to candidates and clients on recruitment
