Trainee Procurement Analyst

Our client is organised to provide clients with a range of essential business advice, not just on large scale mergers and acquisitions and banking deals but also on people and employment, commercial dealings, litigation, insurance, real estate, IT, intellectual property and plans for restructuring.
They now have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Analyst to join their Procurement team. The Procurement team provides support to the Corporate IT and National Facilities, managing end-to-end supplier relationships for both commodity buying and the purchasing of services into the organisation. Reporting to the IT Procurement team, you will be responsible for supporting them in the efficient and cost effective sourcing and management of all IT commodities and services. The role will follow a clear training and development plan with a view to supporting the successful candidate in gaining a CIPS qualification after a qualifying period.
You will help to build and maintain relationships with core suppliers and key stakeholders including maintaining up to date records of all supplier contacts and IT budget owners on behalf of the IT Procurement team and will provide support during commercial and contractual reviews in terms of data analysis, quote comparisons, maintaining supplier action trackers and also contract query tables.
Candidates for this exciting opportunity require basic analytical skills coupled with excellent communication skills and a good understanding of customer service. Good time management and organisational skills are also a requirement. Although no purchasing experience is required, data analyst experience would be a distinct advantage. The successful candidate must have some experience in an office environment.
