What we do
L&C is one of the best known mortgage brokers in the UK. Each year, we help thousands of customers find a suitable mortgage to buy a new home or save money by switching their mortgage to a different lender.
We are the only no-fee mortgage broker to supply best buy tables for major newspapers and Teletext, and we are frequently asked by leading financial journalists for our expert opinion.
How our customers see us
To those that deal with us and increasingly to those that have simply heard of us, our name is synonymous with old-fashioned attention to detail and value for money customer service - with modern efficiency and communications.
How we see ourselves
When L&C's Managing Director, Phillip Cartwright, was profiled by financial publication, Money Marketing (March 20, 2003), the journalist wanted to know what Phillip's employees thought of him. L&C staff each came up with one word and passed on the results to the publication. Words like "visionary", "passionate" and "genuine" kept cropping up.
When the article was published, it depicted Phillip as a man who believes in honesty, good value service and keeping the consumer as the focus at all times.
These three elements are very much at the heart of the working ethos at L&C.
