We are looking for a Trainee Client Account Executive to be responsible for handling all internal interfaces on client projects to ensure that the project is delivered on-time and on-budget.

You will undertake the same challenges as an Account Executive with a view to progressing to this title within a 6-9 month period. To enable this Trainees are assigned a mentor within the business so that there is always one senior point of reference. You will be fully supported across the company and receive our standard induction programme delivered to all new Colleagues.  

Principal Accountabilities

1. Supporting Client Business

  • Develop a working knowledge of client business and issues facing their marketplace
  • Work with Account Manager and Account Director to identify opportunities to develop client business and suggest ideas

2. Operational Management

  • Handle day-to-day enquiries from the client and the clients’ user areas (dealers, field team, resellers etc)
  • Manage and track progress against the overall project plan for the clients.
  • Publish contact reports following each update meeting.
  • Fieldwork management:
  • Manage data in conjunction with Operations
  • Monitor response rates and sample sizes
  • Ensure that projects are run using aura quality guidelines:
  • Maintain project files in line with ISO requirements.
  • Raise and resolve quality alerts as necessary.
  • Manage the Reporting process:
  • Monitor progress with IT/Operations
  • Coordinate all Report checking activities 
  • Brief amendments as necessary
  • Maximise profit opportunities through delivery efficiencies and cost control
  • Build and maintain effective internal working relationships, ensuring understanding of the role of others on the project
  • Build and maintain effective client and supplier relationships
  • Regular phone contact as well as email
  • Be aware of issues that could affect client relationships and keep Account Manager and Account Director informed
  • Travel to UK and overseas destinations as appropriate to projects

3. Financial Management

  • Initiate and process quotations from suppliers
  • Raise Purchase Orders and reconcile with invoices
  • Provide input for client invoicing

4. Undertake any other reasonable duties or participate in special projects as requested

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Demonstrable planning and organising skills
  • Good Microsoft Office and Excel to an intermediate/advanced standard
  • Graduate calibre

Working Hours

35 hours per week, duration 11 weeks.  Week 12 comprises professional training of a 2 day induction and a 3 day final training event.
