It's not too late to be different…
Everybody's unique. And we all have different priorities. We recognise and value that difference. Rather than applying for jobs back in October, for example, you may have preferred to focus on your studies and leave the job search 'til now.
For that very reason, we've reopened both our Graduate Leadership Programmes. Which means you can still join the next generation of business and finance leaders, with an organisation that's as unique as you are.
We have opportunities all over the business for commercially focussed graduates to take up leadership positions. But while early responsibility and a high profile are exciting prospects, it won't be easy to earn the credibility and respect you'll need to make an impact. You need to be open-minded, tenacious, resilient and flexible. So ask yourself: have you got what it takes?
We have two programmes, each of which are designed specifically to prepare you for the challenges you'll face as one of our future leaders.
Our main programme is a more generalist and broad based experience, but we have also recently created a CIMA accredited version of the programme for those people who know that they'd like to pursue a finance career. But either one you join you'll take on serious responsibility right from the beginning, giving you plenty of scope to prove yourself. We'll stretch you with individual learning reviews and structured management development – and we'll provide full support for you to achieve a professional qualification.
You need to be commercially minded, and passionate about what we can achieve as a co-operative business. It's not just about making money; we're striving to improve our members' lives, and that's much tougher. You'll be making decisions about the future of the business based on their needs and aspirations - and helping to guide the co-operative movement more than a century and a half after it began.
We aim to make the whole selection process as transparent as possible by telling you exactly what we'll be looking for. We’ve identified a set of behaviours and skills that will be critical to your success on the programme, and as a future business leader with the Co-operative Group:
- Customer focus
- Developing capability
- Forward thinking
- Relationship building
- Results focus
If you've got all this and a 2.2 or better in any discipline, we need to talk. Find out more - click on Apply Now!
