At ORC International we currently have an exciting opportunity as a Technical Consultant in our rapidly expanding technical team. ORC is a leading Market Research company with the main office based in London, however this role also applies to our Manchester office.  Our clients include some of the biggest high street names in many sectors and not only is this role challenging but also interesting!

The role of Technical Consultant (or Data Analyst as it is sometimes referred to) is part of a team of other Analysts and as a team and individually is responsible for maintaining our excellent reporting tools, standards of quality, project delivery and ultimately, customer satisfaction.

We are looking for a Graduate Technical Consultant to develop and manage data driven web-sites, data inputs and maintain good relationships with our prestigious clients. In return, we offer development for you, a competitive salary and a benefits package that recognises a real work/life balance.

Key Duties of a Technical Consultant include:

  • Dealing with clients, projects and managers to discuss reporting requirements
  • Programme and run web based surveys
  • Process data from paper and on-line surveys and produce reports

 

A Technical Consultant should have these skills:

  • Numerate degree with good academic qualifications
  • Ability to understand and interpret data
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Experience of MS Excel And SQL experience would be advantageous

 

The role will require you to use your skills to continue with database development and management using MS SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server Reporting Services. Existing skills in this area would be great but training is provided so please still apply if you have the willingness to learn!
