Fusion21 Ltd and the University of Salford are seeking an ambitious individual to manage an exciting KTP project. The aim of this challenging project is to develop a Knowledge Base toolkit, trial its application & effectiveness to increase the number of RSLs using Fusion21s retrofit offer.
Retrofitting to improve environmental performance will be a key part of reducing heating costs and carbon emissions from the existing housing stock. Based at Fusion21 offices in Huyton, Merseyside, you will manage the project supported by the experienced staff from both Fusion21 and this forward-thinking University.
Formed by 7 Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) to provide a consortium approach to procurement and training in Asset Management, Fusion21 is a social business which promotes collaboration to save money and create jobs. Fusion21’s supply chains deliver their Clients’ capital and cyclical works programmes, create sustainable jobs for local people and generate cashable savings to reinvest in frontline service improvements.
The purpose of the KTP will be to develop an ‘offer’ that meets the needs of a wide range of clients (landlords with a few properties, to organisations with 50,000+). This will enable Fusion21 to market retrofit to improve sustainability of social housing in a ‘menu’ approach. In addition to this exciting opportunity, you will also complete a Diploma in Management and there is a substantial budget for additional training and Higher degree registration.
You should have a professional degree in Building, Business Studies or Engineering.
As a KTP Associate, from your involvement in the programme, you will gain a deeper understanding of commercial project management, supplier relations and marketing strategies within an SME environment (Fusion21) and large company environment (client RSLs).
You will develop skills in an emerging area, develop research and development skills in the pressure of a commercial context. You will also have responsibility for the successful delivery of the project which will develop you project management, time management and communication skills. Your accomplished team-player skills as well as your ability to work independently will also be thoroughly tested.
