Support and Development Assistant Corby, Northamptonshire Circa ú16,000 Our client is a major international publishing house with an extensive UK and export business, serviced from their purpose-built Distribution Centres at Corby. A highly motivated and enthusiastic individual is required to join the Support and Development department. The primary requirements will be to act as the central point of contact for all facilities requests, whilst providing effective administrative support to the department. In addition to this the opportunity exists for participation in projects and initiatives as they arise. During the first year the post holder will quickly develop an overview of the business which will then enable them to progress, assisting in various departments, gaining experience in the breadth of the organisation. The role will require you to assist in developing a new document control system and quality initiatives ad other projects. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently or as part of a team to achieve agreed deadlines. Planning and organisation is key to this role and you will prioritise your own tasks effectively while being self disciplined with sound time management. After initial training your problem solving skills will be used in project work and other aspects of the job. You will be required to make accurate and well thought out decisions based on the information available and carry out checks on your own work and others work for accuracy and validity. Being customer focused is highly important and being appreciative of the relationship between our internal and external customers, you will be involved in providing mutually beneficial solutions. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, flexible individual who uses their initiative and thrives on challenges that arise. The role would ideally suit a graduate looking to progress within the organisation. You must be a highly motivated enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to display excellent team working and initiative. Experience of Microsoft packages will be of an advantage.
