Project Description

There are currently 52 sites in Scotland employing c.3,500 people servicing many of our global markets with some of our premium key brands including JW, J&B, Smirnoff, Gordon’s, Tanqueray, Morgans, Ciroc and Smirnoff Ice.

The Supply Chain team have primary responsibility for the movement, storage and distribution of cased goods stock to 180+ markets worldwide. The team also has a number of key projects in place to drive efficiencies and cost opportunities. A key area within SC is the Scotland Inventory of approximately 3M cases which is held at the production sites, 3rd party warehousing and a number of 3rd party reworkers.

Role Description

The purpose of the role will be to provide project support to a number of initiatives.

There is a health check currently underway on the Scotland Inventory which is reviewing slow moving & obsolete stock. As part of this process we are working with Markets, the Planning teams in Amsterdam and the production sites

Investigations into stock held at 3rd parties to establish what is not fit for sale. This will involve working with the 3rd party organisations as well as the Primary Warehousing and Despatch team at Linwood

A project has been commenced into Glass storage and a health check will be required as part of this process.

Main responsibilities will include:

•        Working in conjunction with the inventory and warehousing teams to meet the FY13 targets on slow moving and obsolete stocks

•        Delivery of the goals on the Inventory health-check within specific 3rd party warehousing or re-worker organisations. After completion of investigations, there will be a requirement to create a disgorge programme linking in with the appropriate disgorge locations

•        Creation and lead on the Glass storage health-check process.
