St Andrews Golf Co. Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a graduate to design and develop a new range of high end golf products, as well as analysing and improving the manufacturing process, in order to support the future development of the company into new markets such as Asia & USA. This is a 12 month placement with view to permanent hire, based in Largoward, Fife.

St Andrews Golf Co. Ltd is embarking on the launch of a product development project as it has been highlighted as a key driver for our planned business growth. The aim of this project is to reduce the current cost of developing new products through better design, improved manufacturing processes, and better customer facing experience. Additionally the person will develop new and improved products which will increase sales by broadening our range, improving aesthetic appeal, adding functionality and improving quality.

Role Description

Reporting to the CEO, the graduate will use CAD design skills with CNC machining to design and develop a whole new range of bespoke golf products aimed at high end clients from Asia, & USA, with China, Korea & India the particular focus. The graduate role will significantly reduce the time it takes to develop new products through use of technology.

Key responsibilities will include: Design, develop and launch a new range of products by using the latest in CAD and CNC technologyDevelop up to 4 new ranges of products as well as improve on our current production techniquesImprove the customer facing experience and sales through better design, improved manufacturing processes.

Liaising directly with the CEO the person will have the responsibility to drive a totally new direction for the company.

Skills / Experience

Essential

-          Software knowledge in CAD design,basic programming language skills

-          Good Communicator at both Executive level but also at shop floor level

-          Problem solver

-          Self motivated

Ideal

-          Solidworks, ONE cnc, Microsoft Office suite

-          Knowledge and/or experience of CNC machining

-          Additional Languages would be an advantage

Qualifications

Essential

-          Graduate in CAD & Industrial Design

Ideal

-          Mechanical Engineering background, Advance Materials Specialisation
