We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated graduate to play a major role in a strategic two year collaborative project between e-DBA and the University of Brighton. The project will provide e-DBA with the capability to rapidly develop web based applications for third party corporate clients which include considerations of application usability and deployment of cutting edge user interfaces.

e-DBA, based in Brighton, East Sussex, is an established leader in Oracle Managed & Professional Services and Oracle Licensing. Its core business is based on the remote monitoring of clients’ database and computer server performance using intelligence to flag potential issues before they impact on the customer.

This opportunity, as part of the government’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme, will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to be a major player in a leading edge development environment on a two-year fixed-term project to improve the company’s human computer interface capabilities. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to register for a funded higher degree such as an MSc.

Key attributes:

  • Honours degree at 2.1 or above in an appropriate subject, for example Software Engineering, Web Applications Development, Computer Science or Electronic Engineering.
  • A higher technical degree would be an advantage.

  • Any experience in graphic design is desirable, as is knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite programmes.

The package:  a competitive salary, early responsibility for a high profile project in a leading company, a generous dedicated personal development budget and the opportunity to register for a funded higher degree.
