Our client is a global leader and innovator in the agricultural science sectors. They are an important division of a larger global science group. They are looking for a high calibre individual who can support the Facilities Manager, Field Support Manager and Communications and Government Affairs Manager.

THE ROLE

As a Site Services Assistant your tasks will be :

  • To provide support to the Facilities Manager for handling the day to day queries regarding the operation of site contractors and services
  • To provide administrative support to the Facilities Manager, Field Support Manager and Communications and Government Affairs Manager (e.g. travel and meeting arrangements,  Twitter monitoring, SAP administration, telephone cover, expense checking, etc.) 
  • To provide Health and Safety/Site Inductions to new starters
  • To be responsible for the departmental purchasing card and monthly statements
  • To provide emergency and rota cover for the receptionist
  • To provide cover in the absence of the Development Assistant (to liaise with suppliers and maintenance of spreadsheets) 

REQUIREMENTS

Ideally you will have achieved a minimum of 2.2 at degree level and you will have an interest in Business and Administration (or you will have equivalent knowledge and ability).

You will be:

  • very comfortable in an office environment
  • confident with your computer skills
  • committed to high quality
  • strong at planning and organising
  • a clear and confident communicator (both written and verbal)
  • a strong team player
  • adaptable to various projects and changing deadlines
