Siemens are currently looking for three graduates to join our HR services.
Our HR services are delivered by either the Corporate Personnel, Shared Services or directly within each of our 20+ UK based businesses. To give you the best possible start to your HR career, our programme will give you approximately 8 months' experience in each of these over your first 2 years.
Your first placement will be in Corporate Personnel, located at our Head Office in Frimley from Summer 2007. The other 2 placements could be anywhere in the UK, so we will expect you to be geographically flexible during your first 2 years.
All this will mean that by the end of the programme you will be in the ideal position to make an informed next step in your HR career.
Training & Development
Each placement will require specific skills and knowledge, so you will have an individual training plan which will be reviewed at the beginning of each placement.
We believe strongly that HR is a profession, so we will also support you through your CIPD qualifications via flexible learning.
And as well as all this, you will take part in the Siemens Graduate Development Programme, where you will be able to develop the generic personal skills, such as teamworking, project management and communication, with graduates from our other programmes.
To be considered for this programme you must have studied either Human Resources Management or a business-related degree to at least Bachelor's level (minimum of 2:2), or someone who has supplemented their first degree (minimum of 2:2) with a Masters in Human Resources Management.
You should also have gained qualifications equivalent to at least 3 ‘C’s at A-level.
You will have a level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)
We are looking for people with at least 12 months work experience, at least some of which should have been in a customer facing role – this experience could have been gained either before, during or after your degree studies.
Ideally you will also have some experience working within an HR department.
We will only be able to accept from applications from people with an unrestricted ability to work within the EU.
The closing date for this role is 26th August 2007.
Please note that we are unable to accept applications from candidates that have previously applied to this role within the last six months.
