Scientist and Computational Science Graduate Opportunities (Science / IT Graduate)

Our client provides world-leading weather and climate services in the UK and overseas. Science is at the core of their business, and to achieve their vision of being the best weather and climate service in the world they are looking to attract the most talented individuals from across the scientific community at various stages of their career.
To drive forward research and development, our client needs to recruit, train and develop people with the knowledge and expertise in the following fields:
· Computational science
· Mathematics (Numerical analysis, Statistics, Fluid dynamics)
· Atmospheric physics (e.g. land surface, radiation, cloud processes, dispersion)
· Climate research
· Satellite meteorology and remote sensing
· Atmospheric chemistry
· Ocean modelling
· Meteorological instrumentation development and environmental monitoring
A sound background in a physical science or maths to at least degree level (preferably 2:1) is essential for all roles. In return you can expect a starting salary of between £20,400 and £28,700 plus the opportunity to earn bonuses, eligibility to join the Civil Service Pension Scheme (including an employer contribution of between 16.7 & 18.8%) and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (totalling 10.5 days).
