Scientific Sales Representative

Location: London, South East & South West

Salary: Up to £25,000 + OTE + Car or Car Allowance + Laptop + Mobile

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity in medical sales. We are looking for sales focused graduates with a science based background to join a successful and growing company. This organisation is one of Europe’s leading service provider’s of DNA sequencing and bioinformatics for industry and academic research.  For nearly two decades they have been continuously developing new and comprehensive solutions for DNA sequencing and bioinformatics sequence evaluation.  They serve over 10,000 customers in 40 countries around the globe and have subsidiary companies in Great Britain, France and Sweden.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an establishing European firm that has had significant growth in the UK.  The company want to build on their success and are now looking to recruit a Scientific Sales Executive.

As a Scientific Sales Executive you will be managing a territory that will cover London, the south east and south west. You will be responsible for building new business, managing and developing your account base within your territory and for delivering profitable business.  You will be mainly selling to hospitals, universities and research facilities.

The company will provide you with a detailed induction programme covering all their products and spending a large amount of time shadowing colleagues within the business as you familiarise yourself with the role.

This sales role will involve networking and entertaining, which will require you to work outside the normal working day.

Key to your success will be your excellent communication, organisation skills and willingness to travel.

The Person

Suitable candidates will have a background in molecular biology, ideally with postgraduate qualification in life science or relative subjects.

You will be familiar with the current biomolecular analysis methods, have a strong technical understanding and the ability to find the right solution to customers’ needs.

You will be a self-starter with good interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and maintain an annual business plan for the territory, meet and exceed projected sales goals.

Sales experience in the Life Science market will be an advantage with ideally 12 months experience within a similar field sales role.
