Risk Assurance Analyst / Risk Management Analyst

Telford, Shropshire

£15,000 - £25,000 negotiable depending on qualifications and industry knowledge

Our client is part of one of the world’s leading reinsurance groups. Backed by its strong balance sheet and global diversity, the company has many years experience of managing closed portfolios of life insurance business. Our client currently services over 750,000 policyholders, and is growing rapidly through acquisition.

Our client currently has a number of exciting opportunities for Risk Analysts to join their Risk Management and Assurance Department at their site in Telford, Shropshire. The main purpose of these roles (which may have either an operational, compliance, financial or systems bias) is to support the Risk & Assurance Executive by undertaking assurance reviews and evaluations of key business areas and assessing, monitoring and giving advice to the business. Your main responsibilities will include carrying out allocated assurance plan tasks, analysing business processes and ensuring that control activities in place within the business to mitigate operational, compliance and financial reporting risks are adequate.

The successful candidate will have a strong academic record and will be educated to degree level of 2:1, or equivalent, probably in IT, Business, Science, Maths, Finance, Accountancy or Engineering or similar and will have previous experience of audit or business process or data analysis. It is essential that you possess excellent communication skills and can demonstrate a confident manner when liaising with people at all levels. For some roles Financial Services experience will be positively regarded, but is not essential. A full UK driving licence is required, as this position will require occasional UK travel.
