A vacancy has arisen within their Environment Department at Corus Research, Development & Technology, Rotherham.
As a member of the Sustainability knowledge group, you will join a team of specialists, focussing on sustainability assessments using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and carbon footprinting methodologies.
You will be responsible for the environmental assessment of product supply chains over their lifecycle. Data collection and analysis will be key aspects of the job, which will involve liaison with customers and other external organisations.
The successful candidate will hold a degree or equivalent preferably with a Masters / PhD in a technical / analytical discipline and be an enthusiastic team player. As travel is an important part of this job a full driving licence and passport is also required. You should be familiar with sustainable development principles, and possess a broad understanding of sustainability/environmental issues, particularly those affecting the construction, packaging and automotive sectors.
Experience in LCA, including application of methodologies, data collection and creating models, as well as knowledge of steelmaking processes and product supply chains would be advantageous.
Located in Rotherham, this role is commutable from areas such as Sheffield, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Macclesfield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Huddersfield and Wakefield.
