EMC is part of a major international oil & energy consulting group with offices in London, Singapore, Hawaii and Beijing. We are a team of experienced professionals with a wide range of international clients, mainly oil companies, financial institutions and producer governments. Consultancy services include the provision of regular research and responding to client queries as well as undertaking specifically commissioned studies.
As part of our current expansion we are seeking a research assistant to provide input to our regular energy coverage, supporting our short/medium term oil market forecasting services. This provides an unusual opportunity to gain a wide-ranging understanding of the issues impacting on future trends in the international oil market.
Applicants should have at least a post graduate qualification in an energy related discipline and ideally some experience working in the industry. You must also have a keen interest in the subject and be able to prove an understanding of the main issues underpinning current market conditions.
The successful candidate will also have to be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with some knowledge of modelling techniques also an advantage, along with a foreign language. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
