Job summary

Indigo Lighthouse Group (ILG) is looking for a part-time graduate (minimum 20 hrs) to work on a 3 to 6 month research project based in Glasgow City Centre. Under the guidance of our Head of Operations this role is to source the very best intelligence in relation to a subscription management system to provide in-depth market analysis with a view to developing new business opportunities.

Job Description

Project objectives:

·         Identify and recommend appropriate organizations within the UK and internationally for ILG to approach with a view to providing services and with the purpose of creating additional job opportunities within ILG.

·         Identify if there are material gaps in the services provided currently by ILG by identifying all gaps and then analysing actual demand for such services.

·         Identify possible market partners for ILG to work with in order to provide a full menu of services to possible clients.

Planned Outputs & Outcomes:

A final research report outlining findings of the research project with recommendations for the design and launch of an innovative subscription programme within the financial and business sectors of Scotland and the UK.

Role Description:

The graduate will be involved in a number of key research areas to answer the following questions:

1. What companies are offering Subscription services right now?

•        What market place are they in

•        What is the size of the market opportunity

•        What is their current market share

•        What specific (if any) handling/storage requirements are there for the product

•        How established are the existing businesses

•        What current infrastructure supports these businesses

•        Who is the key contact in the organisation

•        Would they be interesting in using us as a service provider

•        What product design would be required, innovation of the existing product proposal?

2. What are other service providers offering in terms of services currently not available from Indigo?

•        Detail of the services available

•        Users of the services available

•        What is the uptake for these services

•        Possible revenue for providing these services

•        What is the possible cost of providing these services

•        What level of investment would be required to provide the appropriate services

•        What people and training challenges will require to be overcome in order to provide the appropriate services?

Skills / Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

•        A creative and curious approach

•        An entrepreneurial spirit, and welcome the challenge of researching potential new markets for business growth

•        Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

•        Ability to work using own initiative

•        Ability to communicate outcomes of research project.

Qualifications

•        All graduate disciplines accepted.

•        (Postgraduate qualifications preferred)
