EXPIRY NOTICE: This job has now expired and will not be accepting any more applications.

In 2008, RWE npower renewables became part of RWE Innogy, one of Europe's largest and fastest-growing renewables generating companies. RWE npower renewables is a leading player in the drive to generate more electricity from clean, inexhaustable energy sources - wind, rivers, the sea and the land.  Today we are one of the UK's biggest renewable energy developers and operators.

Would you like to go straight from university into the world of green energy? With us you will experience the most exciting and biggest projects in the renewable energy sector. Shape your own future. Use your language skills in other European countries and breathe international air. RWE Innogy’s Renewables Graduate Programme offers you all of that. Become part of the largest German investor in renewable energy in Europe.

Main Purpose of Job:

On our 18-month Renewables Graduate Programme (RGP) you will experience highly stimulating projects covering the planning, construction and operation of renewable energy facilities, focussed in particular on wind power in the onshore and offshore sector or water power. In terms of the form that the programme takes, the RGP itself merely provides a basic framework.

We get you started with an initial project stage – you then take almost full responsibility for choosing all further projects (2 to 4) yourself. Your choice of projects will depend largely on your interests and your own initiative. During the programme, you will also gain international experience, as you will spend time working on at least one project in another European country. Giving you the chance to develop your personality is very important to us as well. During the programme, you will be able to let your own ideas fully evolve.

We will support you in this in every way we can. With your dedication and your own autonomous project work you will be not only helping to shape the company’s growth, but also refining your own personal development. We will encourage this through numerous initiatives, including by providing mentors from the RWE Innogy management team to support you. There is no better way to help your career take off.

Knowledge and Skills:

We are primarily looking for engineers with an excellent degree, who have distinguished themselves during their studies through motivation and drive. Everyone who wants to come with us into the world of green energy should have:

  • a Bachelors degree (2:1 or above)
  • international and cultural sensitivity
  • a strong focus on results and entrepreneurial talent
  • a high degree of initiative and the ability to work well in teams

Then don’t delay! Click ‘apply now’ to go through to the company website and complete your application by July 2012. The RGP project begins on 1st October 2012. We look forward to receiving your application!
