Summary
Recruitment is a generic terms for staff facilitation, which essentially means filling job vacancies with the most ideal person possible. As a Recruitment Consultant it is your responsibility to find the right person for the right job.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ò Cold-calling and warm-calling prospective clients with a view to picking up staffing vacancies
ò Arranging meetings with prospective clients to sell yourself and your business, proving why you are the best
ò Lead generation through speaking with candidates and understanding your market; networking through constant candidate interaction
ò Speaking with candidates about possible job opportunities and helping them achieve their career objectives
ò Speaking with management within a variety of companies, understanding their needs, which will enable you to find the right personnel for them
ò Meeting with and interviewing candidates to ensure they are a good fit for your client
ò Selling your candidate into specific requirements and marketing them within given parameters to identify opportunities for them
ò Negotiating rates and terms of business with clients in order to produce a vehicle for new business sales
ò Learn and understand your market, using all available tools to ensure you know the business as well as your candidates
ò Taking references on your candidates and cross-selling other candidates into vacancies with existing or prospective clients
ò The role of the recruitment consultant necessitates hard work and the ability to make numerous calls each week to identify opportunities and maximise revenue opportunities against business targets

* Educated to at least A-level standard (Degree preferable)
ò Tenacious, gregarious and hardworking
ò Ambitious, with a drive to succeed and overachieve
ò A good salesperson with excellent negotiation skills
ò Excellent time-management and prioritising abilities
ò An effective communicator; good client presentation and telephone skills
ò Good people skills and a sound listener
ò Able to work to targets, within a team and autonomously
ò A sense of humour!
