‘Whether you’re in the field or on a UK base, the camaraderie is unbelievable. You’d never experience anything like it in a civilian organisation.’
The RAF is seeking intelligent, ambitious graduates to join our worldwide team.
Are you up for a role that’s both physically and mentally demanding? The RAF Regiment is a specialist infantry section that protects our airbases, our aircraft and our people. You’ll be trained to operate in peacekeeping and counter terrorist situations as well as full-scale war fighting. We’ll teach you to rapidly evaluate tactical situations, formulate a plan and then brief this to your troops, no matter what the pressure.
As an officer with this elite force you’ll need to be fit, determined and ready for the challenge of a lifetime. You’ll be trained as a specialist in infantry tactics, weapon systems and surveillance equipment. But you’ll also be a leader with an average of 30 men under your command.
The RAF Regiment offers more than just a job; it offers an active, exciting lifestyle. Our primary mission is to defend our country, but we’re also called upon for countless other tasks, from Search and Rescue missions across the UK to supporting disaster relief operations all over the world.
You’ll have the chance to take part in adventurous training such as rock climbing, skiing and mountain biking. You’ll meet new people from all over the world and you’ll make friends you’ll keep for life.
You’ll be joining a high-tech, modern organisation with excellent opportunities for accelerated promotion, training and worldwide travel. We also offer six weeks’ paid holiday a year, subsidised food and accommodation, free medical and dental care, and free gym and sports facilities access. Starting pay for RAF Regiment Officers is at least 28,000 after training.
*Please note that for reasons of operational effectiveness the RAF Regiment is open to men only.
