Huf UK, part of the Hülsbeck and Fürst Group develop and produce mechanical and electrical locksets for the automotive industry.  In short, we design and manufacture systems that lock, unlock and start your cars.

To support our exciting growth plans we are looking for a high calibre graduate to join the business in the role of Quality Test Engineer.

The Role

The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for the execution of Test schedules and re-qualification tests.  Quality in the automotive industry is paramount and as such is robustly measured. 

From considering the importance of having a door handle strong enough to be stood on by fire fighters through to ensuring that the electronics of door locks are not adversely affected by the rain or how a BMW door handle stands up to salt spray or the Florida sun; this role is varied and interesting.

Through the scope of the role you will report on the causes of test failures and provide potential solutions.

Maintaining records to ISO standards you will stay abreast of emerging test technology and explore methods of testing to compress the test cycle whilst adhering to prevailing customer specifications.

You may get the opportunity to spend time at the exceptional test facilities in Germany and will spend time with clients, therefore you must be flexible to travel abroad.

What we are looking for

It goes without saying that we want the best graduates.   Obviously it means different things to different people but what does the ‘best’ mean to us? 

Through your academic achievements you will have achieved a minimum of 2:2 degree classification in either Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or Physics; you will also have good ‘A’ Levels (A’s and B’s) and Maths and English at GCSE.

We are also looking for the following key attributes, which you will be able to demonstrate through your time at University and your commercial exposure to date.

You will have studied mechanical or electronic engineering or possibly mechatronics or physics as your degree.
