Their Blackburn site manufactures Compact Discs for a wide range of record companies featuring world-renowned artists and CD-ROM’s for many software publishers and an opportunity now exists at this site for a Quality Engineer.
The key accountabilities within this role will be to design and implement systems to assure the quality of products are delivered the market place and to define new specifications and interpret / clarify existing specifications in order to ensure the product meets the customer needs. The successful candidate will audit and report on both their clients own and competitor’s product quality to identify necessary improvement through management of the QA measurement service and investigate and report on customer feedback. You will also facilitate quality improvement activities by providing assistance in problem solving, data analysis and experimental design including training when necessary.
You will have manufacturing industry experience preferably in Quality / Process Engineering, and be qualified to degree level in a science discipline.
You should possess a good working knowledge of quality systems and techniques, good communication skills and proven analytical / problem solving ability. Importantly you should demonstrate competence in getting things done through personal drive, influencing skills and creativity. Experience in the use of PC packages would be an advantage.
