Our client is the only Chartered professional body in the UK dedicated to promoting the highest standards in management and leadership excellence. They have more than 86,000 individual members and 400 corporate members and have been providing forward-thinking advice and support on management and leadership for more than 60 years. 

 

Due to business growth, the company currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager with a Training and Development background.  For this position they require a highly organised, confident and capable senior sales person who excels in working to targets and deadlines. As this role is field based you must have a full driving licence and be a self motivated person able to work on your own initiative as well as being comfortable with long distance travel.

Covering Scotland, and the North of England you will develop business and promote the products and services of CMI. You will visit prospective clients as well as Account Managing existing relationships to ensure that the number of Approved Centres increases. This will involve presenting to groups of people so confidence is essential. You will work to targets and deadlines to achieve bonus. Using your wealth of experience you will support the Awarding body with ideas to address market gaps and create new business opportunities as well as gaining feedback from existing clients to guarantee constant improvement.

 

The successful candidates will have a proven track record in consultative selling, with a good understanding of the QCF and the Academia Qualification Framework. Any experience of selling for a training provider would be extremely advantageous. Passionate about training and development and a born communicator, you should be able to influence and negotiate at director level. We pride ourselves on being experts in our field so up to date knowledge of business issues, Politics and current affairs affecting management would be essential as well as excellent ICT skills. You will be responsible for making rational, realistic and sound decisions quickly; there is no time for crumbling under pressure.
