The ideal candidate will have an all round “hands on” practical approach to printing, product development and conducting trials.

Dycem Ltd is a well-established company with a strong reputation for quality in its two core areas: contamination control mats and non slip products, exporting to around 50 countries through a network of specialist distributors. 

In this Knowledge Transfer Partnership, Dycem will be working with University of the West of England to develop a new product range with the capacity to incorporate printed logos and text to enhance visual communications.

Your brief will be to manage the development of new coated substrates that extend the versatility of the company’s flooring product range. As well as broadening the range of substrates used you will be required to assist the establishment of an in-house digital printing facility, allowing an extended capacity for incorporating printed designs and signage into the company’s current production. As a milestone in the development of this product, the associate will be responsible for the effective engagement of staff to embed this capability.

You will be a recent graduate (at least 2.1) in product design, materials or print, preferably with some experience of working in industry.  Candidates will also need to be self starters, customer-focussed, have excellent communication & research skills and provide quality output at all levels.

Salary will be £20,000 - £25,000, plus a generous training/development budget, chance to gain a Management qualification and study for a Higher Degree.
