Product Sales Manager û Personal Care and Pharmaceutical Basildon, Essex Salary circa ú20k Are you looking for the next stepping stone in your career? The role will give you the grounding and experience you need to progress in either a full-time marketing or sales position. Our client is a world leader in chemical distribution with an extensive network of over 160 distribution centres across North America and Europe, committed to meeting customer needs and expectations. Some 6,800 employees ensure that they deliver a reliable service and appropriate supply chain solutions to their customers. As a Product Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the profitable sales and development of a selected range of Personal Care and Pharmaceutical (PCP) products and supplier relationships across the UK customer base. You will be given the freedom required to actively promote these products to all UK PCP customers. Price negotiation and provision of market information will enable you to meet supplier and customer needs. Although the role will predominantly be office based, some travel to suppliers and customers may be required when necessary. The successful candidate should be educated to degree level in a Chemistry related subject or Marketing or Business discipline. You will be looking for a stable role, a starting point in your future career and ideally already possess 2-3 years commercial experience. With excellent communication, negotiation and selling skills you will have the ability to work towards and meet agreed sales and gross margin targets. Computer literate, you will be numerate and be able to work as part of a team as well as on your own. This role will start on 1st January 2006.
