Job summary

Firemac Limited has a great opportunity for an Engineering or Science graduate to coordinate a project for a new innovative fire protection product. This is a 12 month placement.

Job Description

The graduate will work closely with the Technical director to move the existing product idea concept along to product launch.

Main Tasks:

•        Coordinate the project programme activities and delivery of a new innovative fire protection product from concept to product launch

•        Involvement in certification of the product

•        Hands-on role on all activities involved with the Research and Development of the new product

•        Proactively source and build relationships with potential new suppliers

•        Test the commercial and technical feasibility of the prototype

•        Carry out independent fire tests on the new product in the UK and possibly overseas in conjunction with the Technical team

•        Report on fire tests and make any necessary recommend improvements as appropriate

•        Produce new designs, data sheets and drawings for the new product

•        Prepare regular and timely reports on project milestones and activities

•        Coordinate the production of new marketing materials required for launch of new product in conjunction with the Marketing team

Skills / Experience

Essential Skills:

•        Logical thinking with problem-solving ability

•        Great attention to detail

•        Good communication and written skills

•        The ability to work well with others and independently

•        Good practical skills relevant

•        Excellent CAD and IT skills

•        Clean driving licence essential


•        Engineering or Science degree
