Our client is currently seeking a Product Assistant to join our Supplier and Product Management team based in Milton Keynes. The main purpose of this role is to support the Product Manager for Personal Care and Pharmaceutical products in ensuring that pricing is correct and up to date, products are available and new products / supplier opportunities are sought.
Within this role your main responsibilities will include assist in the preparation of annual targets / budgets and reviewing performance against them, negotiating with suppliers to secure appropriate purchase / distribution agreements and prices and controlling selling prices to maximise gross margins. You will also be expected to establish, monitor and update selling schedules for products, liaise with stock controllers to determine forecasts and appropriate stock levels and identify aged stock and take appropriate actions.
This role will give the successful candidate an insight into a fast paced and strategic portfolio and will provide a good grounding for future development.

The successful candidate will have a good general level of education and will be commercially astute with strong inter-personal and communication skills. Technically minded, you will be computer literate and will have experience of data manipulation. It is essential that you are proactive and dedicated and are able to provide a valuable contribution to the gross margin targets.
