Project Description

The main objective of the project is to link the Procurement with Sales and Finance departments. Starting on operational level and taking over the Procurement Department, you will move on to managing this area and expanding it by linking it to Sales and Accounts under a bigger umbrella of Commercial Department. At all times you will aim to achieve more efficient way to manage the commercial operations and issues.

Success measures will be around the expansion of the procurement department and creation and maintenance of an effective & efficient link between procurement and finance/sales.

The ultimate goal is to create the commercial department with effective management system that would allow us to monitor the critical business Key Performance Indicators.

Role Description

Your role within TI Tiles International will be to assist and report to the Commercial Manager within the newly-created commercial department. We would like to use your abilities to help us to set up, develop and improve the operations, systems and processes within this department.

You will start off by taking over the procurement department, which is the heart of the system. Your key responsibilities will include order processing from sales hand-over, through purchasing, transportation, to after-sales assistance and invoicing. Your key role will be to identify the gaps in the system, suggest improvements and create a new expanded structure linking procurement with Sales and Finance. We will look for development and expansion of the current systems and processes but also for creating the new ones, which are not as yet in place but necessary in order to link the three departments.

We would like you to use your skills and knowledge to effectively alter, improve and create systems to suit the company’s and management team’s requirements. For example, you will be responsible for setting up a system for Contracts analysis; to monitor actual vs. budgeted costs and develop a relevant report for the management team.You will also create a structure for Procurement Forward planning – management system for projects from a pre-order stage associated with the sales department through the procurement process and payment –delivery schedule to final invoicing and confirming profit margins.

Skills/Experience

  • Good software knowledge i.e. Microsoft Excel and/or Access
  • Good analytical skills/good at maths
  • Great communication skills (including listening)
  • Good organisational skills
  • Creativeness
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team.

 

Ideal

  • Knowledge of sales, import and/or finance & accounts
  • Keeping deadlines
  • Ability to work with processes and systems
  • Solid negotiation skills.

 

Qualifications

Graduate from a minimum undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, Science etc.
