Process Technologist / Scientist/ Physics/ Chemistry

Our client is a U.K. wide resource to stimulate and drive innovation within the Process Industry.
They currently have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, hands on scientist to join their company as a Process Technologist.
You will be responsible for the operation and upkeep of designated characterisation and measurement instruments in order to assess the performance and quality of coated films made in the facility. You will be required to aid the development and operation of the roll to roll vacuum sputter coater to supply coated material for trials and testing and you will effectively work with customers to deliver long and short term projects. In addition, you will support your colleagues in their own work areas.
Candidates must be educated to a minimum of degree level or equivalent in physics or chemistry and will, ideally, have experience of operating high vacuum scientific equipment, working at large-lab to pilot scale. It would be an advantage for candidates to have experience of thin film polymers and coatings or knowledge of working in the electronics field. They are looking for a problem-solving team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise work and to implement new ideas so tasks are completed in a timely manner.
This role could also be suitable for a University leaver, with the relevant practical experience, looking to bring their new skills and ideas to the company.
