They are a leading provider of engineering services, technology and consultancy to industries. Their knowledge of global best practice in each of a wide range of business processes, operations and engineering, has helped over 300 clients worldwide ensure that their core businesses perform at peak efficiency.
As part of its strategy for growth and to deliver current workload, our client is seeking several suitably qualified candidates to work in its Engineering Services organisation on assignments in the North West, UK and Europe. Their team of Process Engineers work either individually or in teams for their clients, who are Blue chip international companies, many of whom are household names.
They encourage personal initiative and entrepreneurial behavior and seek to offer challenging and rewarding work environments. Successful candidates will be expected to travel both locally, throughout the UK and Europe as well as long-haul destinations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include ensuring that calculations (including computer models and spreadsheet calculations) are well documented, checked and approved by a competent individual. You will ensure that due consideration is given to the safety and environmental impact of any designs and you will also ensure your own personal safety and that of others at all times. You will maintain continuous professional development through internal and external training courses and participate in the mentoring scheme. You will ensure that work is kept within budgeted time and cost and identify at as early a stage as possible when a job may be set to exceed expenditure limits.
The successful candidate will hold a degree or equivalent in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline. The process engineer will have demonstrable experience in one or possibly more of a design, contracting, operational or research setting. The process engineer may have specific technical skills that align with the requirements of the specific solution group (e.g. Energy and Utilities, Projects, Process or Environmental Modelling). Typically these skills will be developed in the role.
