Job summary
Pro Sapien Software Ltd has a great opportunity for two graduates to deliver and customise products for clients, develop new product features and work on bespoke SharePoint and Business Intelligence projects. Both placements will run for 12 months with a possibility of converting to permanent roles.
Job Description
You will be required to travel to client sites across the UK, manage a challenging work-load and get to know SharePoint 2010 like the back of your hand.
The project will focus on Pro-Sapien’s flagship product, HSEQ Innovate. To ensure our products remain cutting edge, Pro-Sapien will continue to add functionality and additional modules to maintain differentiation and value to our clients.
The successful candidates will be tasked with the creation of a number of modules that will be incorporated into future versions of the product. This will involve the specification, documentation and creation of electronic forms and associated workflow using .Net and InfoPath forms. Creation of SharePoint site templates.
After an initial induction, the project plan will be discussed and appropriate tasks assigned based on existing skill sets and current competence. The graduates will be assigned modules. Each module will be broken into a set of deliverables with daily stand-ups with the project architect.
Success will be determined by the completion of the assigned modules within the agreed timescales and to a standard expected. During the course of the placement, the graduates will have less hands on support as they get to grips with the technology and the requirements expected from them.
The ideal candidates will not only have excellent development skills but will have the personality and confidence that with the appropriate training and experience to be customer facing in a consultant role.
A mix of business acumen, problem solving and consultative skills will be required to move into this role.
Skills / Experience
Software development in an object oriented language e.g. C# or Java; Web development (both HTML, and server side programming e.g. ASP.NET or PHP); Database development (using a database system based on SQL).
The ideal candidates will not only have excellent development skills but will have the personality and confidence that with the appropriate training and experience to be customer facing in a consultant role.
A mix of business acumen, problem solving and consultative skills will be required to move into this role.
Qualifications
Degree in computing or related field. Any industrial experience gained through the degree or independently gained will be of advantage
