Planner – Project / Resources (Graduate Calibre)

York, North Yorkshire

This is an excellent opportunity to join a multi-skilled planning team and gain instruction in project planning and control. The main duties will be focussed on the on-going development and maintenance of the business wide Resource Forecasting database.

The post holder will support the Planning Team and will carry out an array of varied tasks. You will maintain the business wide resource database and assist in ensuring that project data is up to date, accurate and truly representative of current and potential project commitments. It will be your responsibility to collect and collate data from project teams to allow projects to be efficiently resource loaded.

You will also be expected to produce reports and profiles for management to allow educated strategic decisions to be made regarding tendering for new work. This will also include the identification of future periods of very high utilisation in order to advise management and project teams.

The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent and will need to have an analytical mind, demonstrate a willingness to learn, and enthusiasm toward a career in the planning profession. Other key attributes include good communication and inter-personal skills.
